Spring has sprung!
After the longest winter in the history of winters, spring has finally arrived. The flowers that I planted last fall are coming up and things are finally feeling alive. I love the sun. I love the warmth. I am very happy to welcome spring!

I could not help but post this story of a man (Herman) and woman (Roma) whose lives repeatedly intersected and led them to marriage. Roma and her family were posing as Christians in Nazi Germany when they were young and she would would pass by a death camp daily sneak apples to Herman through a fence. After they both had moved (either by way of the Nazis or just to move on) this happened again. Roma would walk by Herman every day and sneak him apples and bread. Years later, both had moved to New York, they were set up on a blind date. They started to talk about the war and discovered that they had already known eachother. They were engaged 2 months later and have been married for 50 years.
